Quzhou draws 2.66m tourists during Spring Festival holiday

Quzhou in Zhejiang province welcomed a total of 2.66 million tourists during the 2025 Spring Festival holiday, a 17.8-percent year-on-year increase, with a total tourism revenue hitting 2.96 billion yuan ($406.17 million).
In light of Spring Festival's recent inclusion on UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage list, Quzhou held numerous Spring Festival-themed activities during the break that attracted loads of visitors from all over.
The Quzhou Ancient City Cultural Tourism Zone saw a 16.16 percent increase in visitors. Elsewhere, the Shuitingmen historical and cultural block hosted daily performances showcasing different intangible cultural heritage displays, and the Nankong Market's Spring Festival special events highlighted unique cultural happenings and innovative interactions.
During the break, the Root Palace Buddhist Cultural Tourism Zone in Kaihua county hosted theater performances and its low-altitude tourism service launched three new routes. The Jianglang Mountain and Nianbadu Scenic Area's Spring Festival celebrations were particularly popular among tourists.
Notably, public cultural venues at the county level and above across the city collectively welcomed 143,500 locals and tourists during the holiday.
