A new-style tea drink that combines green grapes with the Kaihua Longding tea – developed by Zhejiang Longding Tea Co, based in Kaihua county, Quzhou, Zhejiang province – recently attracted hordes of customers to savor it.

As consumer preferences evolve with a focus on high-quality and personalized beverages – driven by the popularity of a healthy lifestyle – the tea-based drink market is experiencing significant growth.

Following this trend, tea companies in Kaihua county are upgrading their in-store experiences, while intensifying the research and development of innovative tea-based drinks.

Indeed, drinks from some trendy tea shops in Kaihua are drawing in many young consumers with their rich flavors and diverse options.

Yu Hongyan, a shop manager from Zhejiang Longding Tea Co, said that the 13 new tea-based drinks developed by the firm have been well-received, selling dozens of cups daily and attracting many customers.

Elsewhere, Gu Dajiang, executive vice president of Yixiao Food (Quzhou) Co, highlighted the company's ongoing efforts to upgrade its equipment and develop new products since 2022.

As a result, the Yixiao Food has successfully developed over 20 tea-derived products – including instant tea powders and concentrates – generating a 25 percent increase in sales in the first quarter of the current year.
