Jiaxing buildings win prestigious construction award

Two buildings in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province recently won the China Luban Award, according to China Construction Industry Association.
The China Luban Award is the highest accolade one can receive in China's construction industry.

Designed by the Architectural Design and Research Institute of Zhejiang University, the cultural project includes a library, a museum, and a shared area.
With a total investment of 396 million yuan ($62.09 million), the cultural project was opened to the public in June 2019 and had received more than 1.4 million visitors as of November this year.
Looking from afar, the entire architecture is simple and plain with its façade covered with grey stones, while the interior façade features curved surface and other ingenious designs.
The architecture is equipped with eco-friendly facilities such as a rainwater recycling system, a motion-sensor illumination system, and an intelligent monitoring system.
Zhenshi Science Center

Located in Tongxiang, a county-level city in Jiaxing, the Zhenshi Science Center by Zhenshi Holding Group Co Ltd facilitates technological development and exchanges and showcases the group's latest products. The center also functions as an office building.
The Zhenshi Science Center, which consists of a main building and secondary buildings, covers 65,643 square meters.
