To cultivate digital cultural industry, Wuzhen International Humanities and Arts Village opened in this ancient town located in Tongxiang, East China's Zhejiang province, on Jan 5.
Dozens of officials and experts in music and theater attended the opening ceremony, and over 50 guests sent their congratulations via video streaming.
Cooperative contracts were signed among 16 participating arts and cultural institutions to incubate series events such as drama festivals, musicals, young artists support programs, etc.
The village will also be home for multiple field bases for cultural industry-university-research cooperation, working closely with institutes such as the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts, the Communication University of Zhejiang, and theater director Wang Xiaoying.
Since last August, Lang Park, a Beijing-based cultural industry brand, has been integrating cultural resources, internet technology and cultural consumption to attract talents – building a creative hub in the Yangtze River Delta region.
In the future, the Wuzhen International Humanities and Arts Village, covering 1,203 mu (80.2 hectares), is going to construct 5G big data theater, smart concert hall, composition center. Supporting infrastructures such as the NFT copyright trading center, big data incubator for theaters and service center will be built to form a comprehensive system.
