The Nanhu Lake scenic area in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, earned the title of Zhejiang International Culture Exchange Base from the Zhejiang Provincial department of Culture and Tourism at an award ceremony held in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang, on Jan 21.

As an important attraction in Jiaxing, the Nanhu Lake scenic area organized many international exchange activities last year.

Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni visited the Nanhu Lake scenic area to admire the red boat, where the first CPC National Congress convened in 1921, overseas journalists were invited to tour the scenic area, and foreign guests were invited to attend the opening ceremony of the Nanhu Tiandi shopping center.

The scenic area has also improved its tourist signs and prepared brochures in various languages, including English, Japanese, and Korean, for visitors from different countries, according to an employee at the Nanhu Lake scenic area.
