Jiaxing exempts companies from $3.28b in taxes, fees
Jiaxing in East China's Zhejiang province cut taxes and fees worth 20.86 billion yuan ($3.28 billion) for local companies in the first 11 months of last year, ranking third in Zhejiang after Hangzhou and Ningbo, according to the local taxation bureau.
The city has also allowed nearly 30,000 micro, small and medium-sized manufacturing companies to delay payment of taxes in the fourth quarter of last year.
To offer more convenient tax services, Jiaxing launched an intelligent platform last year which can handle 199 tax-related affairs.
In 2021, more than 99 percent of the tax affairs in Jiaxing were handled on the platform, which received consultations from 206,500 users, both numbers ranking first in Zhejiang.
Jiaxing also recently issued measures, including reducing the time for export tax rebates to three working days and popularizing electronic invoices, to further improve its tax services.
