Jiaxing receives more than 1m tourists during Spring Festival holiday

Jiaxing in East China's Zhejiang province received more than 1.32 million tourists during the seven-day Spring Festival holiday, according to the local municipal bureau of culture, broadcasting, television and tourism.
Scenic areas in the city rolled out various activities to entertain local residents and tourists. For example, the Nanhu Lake scenic area launched three travel routes and eight folk activities centered around the Spring Festival, including workshops where people wrote the Chinese character 福 to express their wishes for a prosperous year, created paper cuttings for window decorations and made lanterns.
The public cultural venues in Jiaxing organized 1,072 cultural activities, including 206 online ones which attracted 446,000 participants, during the seven-day holiday.
