The Duzuo handmade rice wine workshop has become a trademark of Zhongdai village in Pinghu, a city administered by Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province.
Five years ago, Cao Guijuan and her husband were persuaded by local officials to once again pick up their ancient rice wine making skill and open a workshop, as more tourists were expected to begin visiting the village after its natural environment was restored.
Relying on its great taste and the promotional efforts of local officials, Duzuo rice wine has won many customers.

In 2018, Zhongdai village started the application process to become 3A-level scenic village, which is expected to bring in more than 30,000 tourists to the village per year.
Cao said that many tourists have visited Zhongdai more than once just to get a taste of her rice wine, and one customer in Inner Mongolia autonomous region even ordered 50 kilograms of rice wine after tasting the Duzuo rice wine in the village.
More than 1,000 kg of Duzuo rice wine were sold during the recent Spring Festival holiday, according to the rice wine maker.
Last year, she launched a new project to teach rice-wine-making to students from Zhongdai Kindergarten .
Cao said that more educational institutions from Pinghu and downtown Jiaxing expressed a desire to bring their students to visit the rice wine workshop.
