The 2022 Yangtze River Delta New Energy Auto Parts Summit Forum kicked off on Nov 30 in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, according to local media reports.

The event aims to build an exchange platform for enterprises to strengthen upstream and downstream cooperation in the industrial chain and further promote the development of the city's new-energy vehicle and parts industry.

Jiaxing is currently home to two major vehicle enterprises, Hozon Auto and Great Wall Motor. Since the beginning of this year, the city's new energy vehicle output has exceeded 130,000 units, the highest in the province and accounting for 27 percent of the provincial total.

In the field of key components of batteries, motors and electric controls for new energy vehicles, the city is home to a number of leading enterprises such as Battero Tech Co Ltd, Nidec and Huayou Cobalt, as well as leading enterprises involved in intelligent network connection such as UISEE and Freetech.

By the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), the output value of the city’s automobile manufacturing industry is expected to reach 100 billion yuan ($14.34 billion), while the total vehicle manufacturing scale is expected to exceed 500,000 units, said an official of the Jiaxing economy and information technology bureau.
