Home textile industry thrives in Jiaxing's Dama town
This year has been a fruitful one for many young entrepreneurs in Dama town, Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province.
Dama town is a national sofa fabric industry cluster area, with over 80 percent of the products of enterprises exported abroad. A group of young entrepreneurs engaged in the home textile industry has attended various exhibitions and become the main force promoting Dama's home textiles.
Zhejiang Yaya Textile Co Ltd, a textile company located in Dama town, secured $350,000 in ordered and secured more than $2 million in intended orders at the 133rd Canton Fair. More than 20 customers also planned to visit the company for on-site inspection, according to Xu Haijie, the company's general manager.
This year, under the auspices of the Tongxiang Home Textile Association, Xu and a group of new-generation entrepreneurs visited Germany, Vietnam, Turkey and other countries to participate in exhibitions and promote Dama home textiles.

In addition, at the recent Frankfurt International Trade Fair for Home and Contract Textiles in Germany, Tongxiang Xinbaolai Textile Co Ltd prepared more than 70 new sofa fabric samples to be sent to Germany and secured over $400,000 in sofa fabric orders.
