Wahaha, the official non-alcoholic beverage sponsor of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, has prepared drinking water for the event.
Three kinds of drinks were produced at its production base in Haining, a county-level city in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, including apple juice, grape juice, and mango juice.
The three drinks have finished production and are stored at the warehouse for the Games. They will be delivered by special vehicles as requested by the Asian Games Hangzhou Organizing Committee.
The person in charge of Wahaha Haining base said that they estimated the demand for the three drinks during the Asian Games to be about 2.4 million bottles, or 163,000 boxes.
Asian Games exclusive drinks have to meet higher requirements and stricter standards in terms of raw material selection, production processes and procedures to ensure quality and safety.
Wahaha checked the supplier's quality and usage records over the past three years and investigated their products' government supervision and sampling results to ensure that raw materials comply with relevant standards and regulations.
Wahaha also improved its traceability system, using a strict supply chain management system to monitor and record the source information and quality indicators of each batch of raw materials.
