Talents stand first in Jiaxing's development ethos and presently, the city boasts a talent volume exceeding 1.35 million individuals – among the top in East China's Zhejiang province.

Zhu Haibin, a co-founder of Zhejiang Maibu Intelligent Industry Co Ltd, joined the Zhejiang Tsinghua Institute of Flexible Electronics Technology, located in Jiaxing, in 2018. 

Apart from the optimal scientific research ambiance, he said that a suite of talent-centric policies compelled him to firmly choose Jiaxing as his abode.

In 2021, Zhu earned recognition as a Class C talent at the municipal level in Jiaxing. Together with his wife, also a doctoral degree talent, they received a subsidy of 1.15 million yuan ($157,200) from Jiaxing, while their children benefited from the school selection policy. 

Fueled by Jiaxing's conducive business environment in 2023, Zhu ventured into entrepreneurship. Establishing Zhejiang Maibu Intelligent Industry Co Ltd, the company's revenue topped 20 million yuan in 2024.

Zhu acknowledged the government's unwavering support, particularly lauding the "one-stop" services offered by the enterprise service center of Jiaxing Nanhu High-tech Zone. This smoothed the way for his endeavors in site leasing, administrative procedures and other essential matters.

Jiaxing's talent policies have proven instrumental in attracting and nurturing talent like Zhu. 

In 2024 alone, the city welcomed over 6,000 young master's degree and doctoral degree talent, more than 100,000 college students, over 70,000 skilled professionals, and nearly 36,000 highly skilled individuals.

To date, Jiaxing's talent pool has surpassed 1.35 million individuals, with its talent work and the annual development index of human resources service agencies leading the province's rankings.
