Founded in 1997, the CHINT Group is a manufacturer located in the Zhengtai Industrial Park, in Beibaixiang Town, Yueqing – a county-level city administered by Wenzhou, in East China's Zhejiang province – with a registered capital of 2.1 billion yuan ($332 million).
The company's site covers an area of 1,985 mu (132.3 hectares) and the group has 28,127 employees. The company is mainly engaged in the production, R&D and sales of power distribution electrical appliances, electrical terminals, control electronics, power electronics, electronic appliances, instrumentation and in building electrical and automation control systems.
