Overseas Chinese entrepreneurs Investment (Fujian) Conference kicks off in Fuzhou

The first Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Investment (Fujian) Conference kicked off in Fuzhou, Fujian province on Sept 3, attracting over 200 overseas Chinese entrepreneur representatives from overseas Chinese enterprises.
The conference saw the signing of 30 key projects.
Junhe Group, a Shanghai-headquartered enterprise, signed an agreement with the government of Minhou county in Fujian province to establish clusters for the smart manufacturing and modern service industries with a planned investment of 10 billion yuan ($1.55 billion).
Four Nobles, a classical furniture enterprise, will investment 200 million yuan in the building of a cultural and creative industrial park in Putian, Fujian province, for overseas Chinese artists.
Five platforms were also launched on the conference, including a fund for boosting Fujian businesses, an overseas promotion center for Fujian tea, an industrial research institute in Xiamen, an international medical service department, and a startup and employment platform for overseas Chinese youth and overseas students.
Since the beginning of 2021, Fujian province has established a large number of cooperation projects with overseas Chinese entrepreneurs and enterprises, with investments totaling 181.3 billion yuan. The projects cover fields like electronic information, equipment manufacturing, new energy, new materials, marine economy, culture and tourism, healthcare, and digital industry.
