Quanzhou showcases unique China-chic charm at festival
The China-chic Cultural Festival of the Maritime Silk Road City Quanzhou has opened on April 18. This festival, which commenced at the Jinjiang Gymnasiade Sports Center, is a key component of the Fujian Cultural and Tourism Economic Development Conference.
The festival is structured around three
main sections: the China-chic product exhibition, a creative market, and
China-chic activities. It seamlessly integrates world heritage and intangible
cultural heritage (ICH) in an immersive, scenario-driven, and
lifestyle-oriented manner.
One of the highlights, "Jinjiang in the New Era", draws inspiration from the 22 World Heritage Sites of Quanzhou, creating a captivating scene that brings ICH to life.
This exhibition features static displays of
creative works from the new generation of ICH, complemented by dynamic
experiences showcasing skills such as Song-style incense art, bamboo carving
and weaving, and shadow puppetry. Moreover, it includes 18 ICH performances, offering
a fresh expression of traditional culture in the modern era.
The China-chic product exhibition consists
of four themed scenes, seamlessly integrating exhibits to provide visitors with
an immersive experience of China-chic charm.
Furthermore, the festival features emerging
China-chic enterprises and products from across the country, encompassing
China-chic shoes and clothing, sports products, intangible cultural and
creative products, food, national goods, and beauty products.
The festival has also curated a creative
market with 110 vendors targeting young people, offering a blend of intangible
cultural and creative products, innovative cuisine, local snacks, and
traditional aesthetics, all infused with a sense of urban vitality.
In addition, the festival hosts 10 activities, including China-chic T-stage shows and salons, providing a multidimensional China-chic art experience, creating innovative social scenes, and showcasing a fusion of Maritime Silk Road China-chic and ICH.
