On the evening of Jan 26, the Gansu Provincial Museum held a special nighttime opening. The event combined a themed gala with a night tour of the galleries, launching the Year of the Horse in a spectacular celebration that blended historical depth with contemporary trends.
The evening began with a stirring performance of Ten Thousand Horses Galloping on the horsehead fiddle. A major highlight was the launch of the "Full Horsepower" cultural and creative product line. The new collection featured three plush toys — "Red Luck Horse", "Zodiac Year Horse", and "Western Foal" — alongside figurines of the Horse God of Wealth and special Year of the Horse gift sets. Featuring trendy collectibles, home decor, and gifting options, the products were released online at 8:00 pm, sparking a wave of enthusiastic purchases.
A much-anticipated segment was the night tour. For a limited time, the Silk Road Civilization exhibition hall on the second floor opened its doors after dark. Exclusive items like a plush version of the Galloping Bronze Horse and a blue lotus cup made their debuts, quickly becoming popular photo spots.
Centered around the museum's popular "Green Horse" IP, the event aimed to bridge historical artifacts and modern public engagement through dynamic presentations and fashionable interpretations, offering a fresh and vibrant way for cultural relics to connect with audiences.
