The Hainan Association for Science and Technology recently signed letters of authorization with three overseas establishments to build high-level talent liaison stations in Hainan province for the UK, Europe and Japan (Tokyo).
The move is meant to attract innovative and entrepreneurial overseas high-level talents to Hainan as the foundation to construct a pilot free trade zone and free trade port.
It gained energetic support from the China Association for Science and Technology and was empowered by the provincial leading group for talent work.
Main functions of the liaison stations include publicizing Hainan's economic and social development status, business environment and preferential policies for talents; publishing Hainan's demands for innovative programs, high-level personnel and entrepreneur teams; building a bridge between Hainan province and overseas talents and projects; and making regular contacts with high-level talents and overseas Chinese communities in Europe and Japan.
