Around 3,000 players from 235 clubs across the country concluded the 2018 China Fencing Club League (Hainan Tournament) in Haikou, capital city of Hainan province on Aug 13.
The four-day fencing event attracted more than 72,000 visitors and boosted local hospitality businesses and tourism to create a direct economic benefit of 30 million yuan ($4.37 million).

The China Fencing Club League, introduced in 2009, has become an influential platform for fencing sportspeople, especially young ones, wishing to exchange fencing skills and ideas.
The Hainan tournament will continue to be held in Haikou for the next three years, according to the organizers.
