The comprehensive training for student volunteers of the 2022 Annual Conference of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA), jointly organized by the Hainan Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, Hainan University, Hainan Normal University, as well as Hainan Vocational and Technical College, was held at Hainan University on March 19.
During the training, the staff of the Hainan Provincial Foreign Affairs Office detailed the preparations for the 2022 Annual Conference of BFA, protocol etiquette for the conference, as well as the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control measures that would be implemented to the volunteers.

The 2022 Annual Conference of BFA will be held in Boao, Qionghai, Hainan province from April 20 to 22. Recently, the Hainan Provincial Foreign Affairs Office went to Hainan University and other colleges to organize the collection of student volunteers, attracting thousands of students to sign up. They evaluated the potential student volunteers from the perspectives of foreign language proficiency, Chinese expression, adaptability, appearance, and behavior, selecting about 300 students as volunteers.
The student volunteers said that they had enhanced their understanding of Hainan's foreign affairs work and the BFA through the training. They added that they would cherish the opportunity to broaden their horizons through this experience.
An official of the Hainan Provincial Foreign Affairs Office said that this training was the first stage of volunteer training for the annual conference. In the future, they will conduct job responsibilities and task training according to the specific job division of volunteers.
