Announcement on application for departure

To curb the current outbreak, ensure the safety of stranded travelers and orderly departure amid the pandemic, according to the announcement on the arranged departure for stranded travelers by Hainan COVID-19 Prevention and Control Headquarters, the following arrangement for departure application is made.

1. Stranded travelers who meet the following criteria can apply for departure

(1) Stranded travelers in risk-free cities/counties(districts):

Travelers in groups or hotels with no infected cases over the past seven days or independent travelers with no clinical symptoms, such as fever, dry cough, anosmia, muscle soreness, etc. over the past three days may depart upon the proof of two negative NAT results within the past 48 hours (one test each day) and green health code.

(2) Stranded travelers in low-risk cities/counties(districts):

Any travelers in groups or hotels with no infected cases over the past seven days or independent travelers with no clinical symptoms, such as fever, dry cough, anosmia, muscle soreness, etc. over the past three days may depart upon the proof of three negative NAT results within the past 72 hours (one test each day) and green health code.

(3) Stranded travelers in mid/high-risk cities/counties(districts):

The arranged departure measures for low-risk cities/counties apply to the degraded mid/high-risk cities/counties(districts).

2. Application procedures

From 6:00 am on Aug 10, 2022, Hainan Health QR Code will be open for travelers to apply for departure. Stranded travelers click "Leave Hainan Application" on the home page of Hainan Health QR Code, have their itinerary cards checked, fill in form personal details including current location (city or county), destination, departure date, departure method, and departure port, and then submit the application.

Upon approval of the application, safe and orderly departure of stranded travelers will be arranged by relevant authorities at provincial and city-county levels.
