Hainan cures 17,055 COVID-19 patients

On Aug 31, a total of 1,272 COVID-19 patients were cured and discharged from hospitals in Hainan province. As of Aug 31, the number of cured and discharged cases totaled 17,055.

The province reported 82 new cases, 39 more than the 43 cases detected on the previous day. These new cases were mainly found in Sanya, Ledong, and Danzhou. Sanya reported 54 new cases, accounting for 65.9 percent of the new cases across the province. Ledong reported 16 new cases, with the city's pandemic risks generally under control. Danzhou reported 10 new cases, the same number as Aug 30. No new infected patients were reported in Dongfang, Wanning, Lingshui, and Lingao.

Hainan is striving to fight its recent COVID-19 outbreak and ensure people's living needs are met at the same time.
