As of now, there are 84 A-level tourist attractions in the province, including 39 4A-level and above scenic spots, up 2.78 times from 2012. More and more cultural, rural, and ecological scenic spots have been granted A-level status. It not only offers visitors an improved tourism experience, but also shows how Hainan's tourism products are increasingly rich and diverse.

A-level scenic spots are not only an indicator of quality but also serve as an important reference point to help tourists choose the most premium destinations. Wang Jiansheng, president of the Hainan Tourism Development Research Association, said the A-level assessment is based on an eight-point scoring system that includes transportation, tourism safety, health, post and telecommunications services, shopping, comprehensive management, resources and environmental protection.

Wang added that in recent years, the quantity and quality of A-level scenic spots in the province have increased, boosting its overall appeal while helping Hainan establish itself as a holistic tourism demonstration province.
