Zhang Yansheng said that WHDZ has great developmental potential due to its good industrial foundation and investment environment, as well as its location –– at the core of cities along the middle reaches of Yangtze River.

Zhang suggested that WHDZ should constantly optimize the investment environment, introduce high-end modern service industries to the zone, gather innovative development elements such as professionals, and make full use of innovation platforms such as research institutes to speed up innovation-driven development in the zone.

A number of experts from the team shared their views at the meeting. They considered that WHDZ contributed a great deal and had a significant impact on the economic development of Hubei province and Wuhan city.
