Copyright registration center for C China to be built in WHDZ

A delegation from the Copyright Protection Center of China (CPCC) recently visited Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ), Hubei province. 

Representatives visited Central China Intelligence Valley, and held discussions with WHDZ’s officials about establishing a copyright registration center for central China in the zone.

The manager of CPCC briefly introduced the construction of the registration center, and said that CPCC would set up a high-standard and high-quality center in the zone. 

Located in Building D4 of Central China Intelligence Valley, the copyright registration center covers an office area of 769 square meters. It is the fourth agency directly under CPCC handling copyright registration business, with another three in Shanghai, Shenzhen and Chengdu.

After completion, the center will take on the business of copyright registration of all works in central China, such as registering copyright information for computer software. 

It will also provide services including legal advice and valuations of copyrights issued. 

Officials at WHDZ said that the zone would provide better services and promote construction of the center. Further cooperation is expected between the zone and CPCC.
