Updated: 2018-02-06

Students from a school for senior citizens in Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) made Spring Festival couplets for residents on Feb 4, which marked this year's li chun (Beginning of Spring) in China’s 24 solar terms.

After Shi Jiadong, the university’s calligraphy teacher wrote more than 10 fu, which means good luck and happiness, students began writing their couplets.

Residents in the zone spoke highly of the calligraphy works, and more than 200 pairs of Spring Festival couplets were given away to residents within about two hours.
