Sanitation workers in WHDZ get safety education

Updated: 2018-02-08

Due to a unique working environment, safety education and training is particularly important to sanitation workers.

The urban management bureau of Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) organized a safety education activity for the zone’s 90 sanitation workers on Feb 6 and 7.

The workers visited the city’s safety culture center, and learned various practical skills.

Staff members at the center taught sanitation workers first aid, how to use fire extinguishers, and let them experience virtual reality (VR) technology.

“The VR glasses are amazing; emergency situations can be simulated for us,” said Huang, a sanitation worker.

WHDZ has always put emphasis on the safety education and training of sanitation workers, and this activity aimed to raise workers’ safety awareness and enhance their handling ability of emergencies.
