Pupils learn about aviation in WHDZ

Updated: 2018-02-08

A class teaching pupils about aviation was provided at Wuhan Sports Center in Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ), on Feb 6, attracting more than 50 pupils in the city.

It is the first time that WHDZ has organized education activities for children.

During the activity, staff from Wuhan Aifeike aviation science popularization base explained the history of aircraft, basic information about unmanned aircraft, and the current state of the industry.

Pupils also viewed displays of model airplanes and the dissemination of pesticides by unmanned aircraft.

Many of the children appeared interested, with some expressing a desire to build model aircraft themselves.

The first World Fly-in Expo was held at the zone’s Hannan General Aviation Airport on Nov 4, 2017, attracting more than 500,000 visitors.

The activity was held to cultivate pupil’s interest in aviation, said the director of Aifeike aviation science popularization base.
