Hailiang Group signed an agreement with Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) on March 28, to establish an education park in the zone.
With investment of 1.2 billion yuan ($190.74 million), Hailiang Education Park in WHDZ will cover an area of more than 340 mu (22.67 hectares), with a construction area of 220,000 square meters.
Taking the group’s Hailiang Education Park in Zhuji, Zhejiang province as an example, Hailiang Group aims to build the education park in WHDZ into a high-end, internationalized and leading education zone for the country.
Schools in the park are expected to open in September 2019, and will be able to accommodate more than 7,000 students.
