Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei province, held a conference regarding entry and exit policy for foreign highly-skilled staff members, on Oct 17.
Jointly held by the zone's talent office, public security bureau, and the Exit and Entry Administration Department of Wuhan Public Security Bureau, the meeting was held to explain the city's entry and exit policies.
Representatives from more than 40 companies and schools in the zone with foreign employees attended the meeting, as well as the zone's talent introduction staff members.
During the meeting, representatives from Exit and Entry Administration Department of Wuhan Public Security Bureau explained the ten entry and exit convenience policies of Wuhan in detail, which were launched in Aug last year, and made comparisons between the current and former policies.
They also answered questions from attendees, such as those regarding permanent residence and 72-hour transit visa-free policy.
The zone's talent office also gave a detailed explanation on the application of permanent residence for foreign highly-skilled employees.
At present, more than 1,000 foreigners work or live in WHDZ –– the highest concentration in Wuhan.
As the zone is currently building a world-famous hub of automobile industry, more companies are in demand of foreign highly-skilled workers.
The zone will organize more such trainings and come up with more methods to attract foreign high-level professionals, with reference to suggestions from companies and organizations in the zone.
