New transformer substation helps power WHDZ

Updated: 2018-10-25

A 110-kilovolt transformer substation was put into use at Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province, on Oct 23.

Covering an area of 4,205 square meters, it is the city’s first double-layer steel structure transformer substation, and will supply power for areas around East Checheng Road and Taizi Lake.

The substation will help ensure a continuous power supply to Wuhan Sports Center and the main media center during the 2019 World Military Games, which will be held in October next year, with venues in WHDZ.
