WHDZ officials visit universities

Updated: 2018-12-29

A group of officials led by Hu Hongchun, secretary of the work committee of Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, visited Jianghan University and Wuhan Business University in the zone, on Dec 24.

The visit represents an effort by the zone's management to develop deeper cooperation between the two universities, in the hope of attracting more skilled workers to WHDZ.

At Jianghan University, Hu attended a meeting with the school's president Zhang Xingping.

The university is the only key provincial-level university in the zone and plays a vital role in improving WHDZ's brand and competitiveness, Hu said.

WHDZ has been working hard to attract skilled professionals in order to help successfully transform and upgrade the zone's industries, and the zone expects to work closely with the university to further boost development, he added.

Hu also visited the robotics research center, automobile training center, and the history exhibition hall at Wuhan Business University, to learn more about its work and research.

In cooperation with the universities, we will develop new preferential policies to attract skilled workers, he said.
