A delegation led by Li Silian, chairman of R&F Group, visited the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province, on May 24 to discuss the construction of a China-Israel scientific and technological innovation center in the zone.

Peng Hao, director of the administrative committee of the WHDZ, welcomed the delegation and held a meeting with them.

Peng explained the zone's economic and social development situation to the delegation, and said that the WHDZ is currently upgrading its industries and offering excellent development opportunities.

Scientific and technological innovation firms and projects are particularly desired in the zone, as well as highly skilled workers, added Peng.

Li said that R&F Group is one of the largest real estate firms in the country. It operates in 69 cities and regions around the world and is mainly engaged in CBD, hotels, and healthcare projects.

The scientific and technological innovation center being built in the WHDZ will help the zone attract world-class scientific innovation companies and professionals, Li added.

Receiving around 10 billion yuan ($1.45 billion) in investment, the China-Israel scientific and technological innovation center will cover an area of 100 mu (6.67 hectares) and consist of an intelligent manufacturing center, a high-tech achievement transformation center, a headquarters center, a high-tech innovation incubation center, a finance center, and a high-end professional center.
