Construction on the Tusincere Wuhan Sci-tech Innovation Park is almost complete and inspection work is currently ongoing, according to Liu Xiuxin, deputy general manager of the park.

Located in the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ), the park will introduce a number of innovative automobile, intelligent manufacturing, digital information, and big health companies, Liu told local media in an interview on July 29.

Ten companies involved in fields such as 5G chips and nanometer materials have already settled in the park before the official opening ceremony.

More than 60 sci-tech companies have applied to set up offices in the park, and there is no lack of Nobel prize-winning projects and projects led by academics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said Liu.

“However, we are strict when selecting companies and have requirements for skilled workers, technology, and research and development,” he said.

Tusincere is a leading investor and operator of industrial parks in China and grew out of the development center of the Tsinghua University Science Park (TusPark). It has established more than 40 innovative centers in over 20 cities across China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin and Chongqing.

“Wuhan is a metropolis in Central China and the WHDZ boasts a solid industrial foundation and great sci-tech innovation opportunities,” said Liu when talking about why Tusincere decided to build the park in the zone.

“There is a complete manufacturing industrial chain, which enables high-tech companies to commercialize their research findings efficiently,” he added.
