Central China Intelligence Valley in the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) has become a new landmark of the cultural industry in Wuhan, capital of Central China’s Hubei province, officials said.

Founded in 2011, it is the fourth national-level digital publishing base in China and the only one in Central China.

The industrial park is currently home to 82 companies, including China Environmental Science Press, Cultural Development Group Co, China Film Time Culture Development (Wuhan) Co, and China's major online bookstore Dangdang.

The park focuses on digital publishing and combines cultural innovation with education, exhibitions, media, and intelligent manufacturing.

The output value of the park reached 4.1 billion yuan ($570.72 million) in 2018, with digital publishing and cultural technology companies earning 2.3 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 11.39 percent.

Central China’s branch of the Copyright Protection Center of China (CPCC) set up operations in the park in early 2018. It is the fourth directly authorized CPCC institute o outside Beijing, with the others being in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Chengdu.
