A practice session for volunteers for the upcoming Military World Games was held in the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone in Wuhan, Capital of Central China’s Hubei province, on Sept 4. A total of 60 volunteers participated in the event.

As the main venue for the opening ceremony, WHDZ has formed more than 100 volunteer teams made up of 6,159 members coming from all walks of life, including retired people, veterans, teenagers, and company and community workers.

To ensure the quality of volunteer services, the WHDZ government has invited a number of experts in etiquette, emergency rescue, medical treatment, and traffic safety to train volunteers.

Communities and industrial parks have also organized classes on Wuhan’s culture and history, as well as oral English, with many locals attending.

During the practice session, artists from the provincial federation of literary and art circles also demonstrated their traditional handicraft skills, such as sculpting clay and embroidery. They hoped to share the local folk culture in Hubei with foreigners during the sports gala.
