The Hubei branch of China Telecom conducted shakedown testing on 5G networks at 53 venues of the 7th Military World Games on Sept 9.
According to an employee, a total of 38 tests had been carried out at 24 venues by the end of August, during which a number of drills were held.
The company will set up a special taskforce to ensure 5G networks run smoothly during the Military World Games, which will begin on Oct 18. More than 100 emergency communication vehicles will also be on standby.
