More cutting-edge technology came to the Wuhan Economic and Development Zone on Sept. 23 when HIT Robot Group – or HRG -- officially opened there, according to zone officials.
Among those attending the ceremony was Wang Fei, chairman of HRG, Sun Lining, deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Robotics and Systems, HIT and Wang Yang, deputy director of the WHDZ Management Committee.
HRG, was founded in December 2014, officials said.
Relying on its innovation-incubation-industry business model, the company is able to provide comprehensive services for high technology commercialization, transformation and upgrading of entity economies, and sustainable development of local businesses.
In September 2018, HRG signed a contract with WHDZ, and established HRG Wuhan Co, as well as the Wuhan International Innovation Research Institute of HRG in Intelligent Valley of WHDZ.
The company is mainly responsible for industrial incubations and the research institute mainly carries out research work for areas including aviation, aerospace, automobiles, ships, intelligent robots and robot education.
Officials said the establishment of the Wuhan branch is expected to further accelerate the industrial upgrading of WHDZ and boost regional economic growth.
HRG Chairman Wang Fei said that by relying on the coordinated development of various departments, his company had established a sustainable development innovation system, technology research and developments, as well as project incubation and industrial cultivation systems.
The opening ceremony witnessed the signing of a settled enterprise. So far, the project has introduced more than 10 robot upstream and downstream industry chain enterprises, of which seven have completed contracts.
The WHDZ has attracted several high-end equipment manufacturing enterprises to locate there and nearly 100 R & D personnel have come to Wuhan for employment and entrepreneurship. Officials said that had created a certain scale and an industrial agglomeration.
