Wuhan receives delegation from Oita, Japan

A delegation from Oita, Japan, went on a special tour of Wuhan in Central China’s Hubei province on Nov 20-22, according to the Changjiang Daily newspaper.

The delegation, led by the deputy mayor of Oita, attended a forum with Zhou Xianwang, mayor of Wuhan, as well as learning about industrial development in Wuhan including commercial development and care services for the elderly.

Oita became a sister city with Wuhan in 1979 and is Wuhan's first overseas sister city.

Over the past 40 years, the two sides have continuously deepened their exchanges and conducted extensive cooperation in the areas of economy and trade, culture, science and education, tourism and agriculture.
