Wuhan sees signing of 117 key projects

A total of 117 projects worth 18 billion yuan ($2.56 billion) were signed at the 2019 Conference on Overseas Chinese Pioneering and Developing in China held in Wuhan, the capital of Central China’s Hubei province, on Nov 21, according to Changjiang Daily.

Among the projects, 24 are investment and trade projects, three are science and technology cooperation projects, and 90 are talent projects.

The contract value of industrial projects such as advanced manufacturing and the modern service industry was 17.59 billion yuan, and the contract value of industrial projects was 5.01 billion yuan, mainly involving fields such as semiconductors, display panels, the internet of things, and international food processing.

There are 12 projects involving investors from France, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Germany and other countries, as well as Hong Kong, China. There are seven projects concerning science and technology services, entrepreneurial services, science and technology cooperation, and science and technology guidance funds.
