Wuhan metro running time adjusted for New Year celebrations

Wuhan metro’s timetables will be adjusted for the New Year celebrations on Dec 31 -- with the last metro trains on some lines running half an hour later than usual, according to a statement released by metro officials on Dec 24.

The first metro trains are scheduled to start half an hour earlier on Jan 1, 2020.

On Dec 31, the run times for Line 1, 2 (including the Airport Line and extension route), 3, 4 (including the Caidian Line), 6, 7 (including the Zhifang Line), and 8 will be 06:00-23:30. The scheduled run times for the Yangluo Line will be 06:00-22:30.

On Jan 1, 2020, the timetable for Line 1, 2 (including the Airport Line and the extension route), 3, 4 (including the Caidian Line), 6, 7 (including the Zhifang Line), and 8 will be 06:00-23:00. The timetable for the Yangluo Line will be 06:00-22:30.

Metro officials said that as major metro lines -- including Line 1, 2, 3, and 4 -- are expected to experience peak passenger flows on Dec 31, more metro trains will be arranged to meet passenger needs.
