WHDZ companies lend big hand in coronavirus control

Companies based in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, capital of central Hubei province, have been making great efforts in novel coronavirus prevention and control, according to the official WeChat account of the WHDZ.

Yongming Group Co took part in the construction of Huoshenshan Hospital, a makeshift hospital for the novel coronavirus patients. 

The company donated 100,000 yuan ($14,298) to the Red Cross Association of the WHDZ, as also bought  protective clothing worth 89,000 yuan for the People's Hospital of Hannan District.

A total of 1,500 TV sets, air purifiers and monitors with a total value of 5.97 million yuan were donated on Jan 26 to Huoshenshan Hospital and Leishenshan Hospital in Wuhan by Skyworth Group and Skywell New Energy Automobile Co. These included 1,000 Skyworth 50-inch TVs, 100 Skyworth 65-inch TVs and 400 air purifiers. 

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Wuhan Tongji Modern Pharmaceutical Technology Co has contacted  ethyl alcohol manufacturers in a timely manner and arranged for the distribution of supplies from various places. Currently, 30 tons of ethyl alcohol have been shipped to Wuhan. 

In addition, the company donated 30,000 face masks and 2,000 thermometers to Wuhan city.
