Located in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone, Wuhan San New School was founded in 2015 and is the first American private boarding school in Central China.
The school provides full middle school education for seventh to 12th grade students, using a full set of American education models and curriculum systems.
The school covers an area of 36,000 square meters and boasts a basketball hall, squash hall, golf course, gym, piano room, auditorium, pottery room, 3D printing and engineering laboratory, among others.
The school has a teacher-student ratio of 1: 6.
Some 90 percent of the teachers in the school have a master's degree or above. Some 30 percent of the teachers are from foreign countries such as the United States and the UK. Some 30 percent of the teachers are bilingual teachers with a background of studying abroad -- and 30 percent of the teachers are Chinese teachers with the ability to teach in English.
The school offers nearly 150 courses, including a full range of STEAM fields, of which 16 AP courses are officially certified by the College Board.
The school adopts an American style teaching mode, in which students go to different classrooms for different courses. The junior high school has adopted bilingual teaching. The high school has adopted full English and specialty and majors-oriented teaching.
Every class aims to have no more than 25 students.
