The Hubei Swire Coca-Cola Beverage Co, located in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, will continue to expand investment in local supply chains to improve efficiency and ensure supply and has a planned investment of 100 million yuan ($14.88 million) in the expansion of its automated production lines.

The 100 million yuan will be used to purchase advanced equipment.

The company, one of the earliest to settle in WHDZ, was established in the zone 25 years ago and has since seen rapid growth in its output.

Since December 2017, the company has invested some 23.3 million yuan in the integration of industrialization and informatization. It has successively introduced seven production lines manufactured by the world's leading enterprises, such as Germany-based KHS and Krones, as well as a suite of advanced equipment from home and abroad.

The entire production operation is automatically controlled by computer.

The company uses SAP and other systems to optimize the equipment maintenance process, greatly reduce the stagnation time of each process, accelerate the efficiency of each production process, and improve the efficiency of production management. The utilization rate of production capacity resources has been increased, and the production planning cycle has been greatly shortened.

In addition to the introduction of production lines, the company has also increased its investment in technological transformation over the past three years, successively renovating production equipment and auxiliary equipment.
