The fifth DFTC Technology Innovation Week, a showcase for Dongfeng Motor Co's latest technologies and products, opened in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) on Oct 19, according to local media reports.
This year's DFTC Technology Innovation Week is set to present more than 100 innovative exhibits, invite more than 70 industry experts, and host 30 technical presentations and 23 technical forums.
Three key technologies and products were launched during the event. These were the C15TDR engine, the Sharing VAN 2.0 technology platform and My@ADAS/AD intelligent driving technology products.
Dongfeng Technical Center (DFTC) has increased its investment in five areas in recent years - intelligence, network connections, going lightweight, electrification and sharing - and has achieved top results in many fields.
It has comprehensively improved its technical capabilities in order to excel in these five areas. In 2020, 112 key technologies and new products have so far been installed and applied.
In addition, through its complete vehicle development, Dongfeng has formed a modular platform layout characterized by two new energy vehicles plus two traditional power ones, and developed its EEA 3.0 electronic and electrical architecture.
In the future, Dongfeng will make more efforts in going smart. It will develop a smart travel ecosystem, and promote "vehicle-road-network-cloud" collaborative integration.
