A foreign delegation consisting of 42 foreigners from countries including the United States, Germany, the UK and Hungary, visited Wuhan in Central China's Hubei province on Oct 30, according to local media reports.

The delegation members are all currently working in Beijing.

The event, as part of a campaign called Expat Community Travel in Wuhan, aimed to promote the recovery and high-quality development of Wuhan in the wake of the COVID-19 epidemic.

On Oct 31, the delegation visited Leishenshan Hospital, Lihuangpi Road and Hankou Waterfront, as well as having a Zhiyin cruise ship tour.

William, from the UK, has worked in Beijing for 10 years.

"This is my fourth visit to Wuhan, and also the first time I have come to Wuhan since the epidemic," he said. "Through today's tour, I can feel that life in Wuhan has returned to normal, and stores and supermarkets are open. Tickets for the Zhiyin cruise ship are all sold out. Everyone is very happy watching the show and dancing on the deck. I admire the city of Wuhan. The epidemic is well controlled, and it's safe and bustling.”

Anna, from Spain, works in Beijing. She came to Wuhan for the first time. "Wuhan is beautiful, especially the night view on the Yangtze River. It's amazing," she said. "The speed of Wuhan's revival is very surprising. I'm going to tell my friends in Spain about this trip to Wuhan."

On Nov 1, the delegation visited Hubei Museum and Jiqing Street.
