A total of 13 exhibits brought by eight companies from Central China's Hubei province -- including the Jointown Pharmaceutical Group and Humanwell Healthcare -- have made their debut at the third China International Import Expo, being held in Shanghai in East China on Nov 5-10.

Things kicked off for them at a Hubei delegation pre-event on Nov 3.

Special display areas for local governments have been set up at the 3rd CIIE, to give international attendees the chance to learn more about China's local culture -- and to broaden the understanding of domestic and foreign enterprises about individual industry characteristics and the investment environment in various parts of the country.

The special display area for Hubei province is located in the National Exhibition and
Convention Center (Shanghai) at booth CN-04 and the total exhibition area spans 108 square meters.

The display area employs red and white as its main colors and comprises four sections, including City of Heroes and Open Highland  -- showcasing Hubei's perseverance in fighting the COVID-19 epidemic, as well as demonstrating the fruitful results of its open economic development in recent years and the economic recovery after the novel coronavirus outbreak.

The display adopts a combination of pictures and texts, video data and physical displays.

These depict the latest development achievements of the province's new generation of information technology, intelligent manufacturing, biomedicines, new energy and modern services industry.
