The Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone -- in Wuhan, capital city of Central China's Hubei province -- is to develop an industrial internet training center, a venture which has already won recognition as one of the 2020 Industrial Internet Innovation and Development Projects of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The project is being jointly developed by Datang Guangdian Technology (Wuhan) Co, Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan and Tsinghua University. It aims to train top people who are proficient in information technology and operational technology knowledge and have the ability to work well in cross-border collaborations.
Datang Guangdian Technology will use its expertise in the development of the industrial internet. It will participate in the research and development of edge computing training platforms, platform application designs, cyber physical systems (CPS) – the integration of computation, networking and physical processes -- industrial mechanism models and edge computing practice training curriculum systems.
Since its establishment in 2016, the company has developed rapidly, establishing a number of provincial-level R&D and innovation platforms, including the only engineering research center in the industrial internet field in Hubei province.
The internet-based manufacturing entrepreneurship and innovation center project -- together with the Hubei Enterprise Technology Center -- was included on the first list of outstanding industrial internet app solutions by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and in the first batch of industrial internet service resource pools in Hubei province.
