UK ambassador visits Wuhan

Caroline Wilson, the new ambassador to China from the United Kingdom, embarked on a three-day visit to Wuhan, Hubei province, on Sunday. She spoke highly of the comprehensive cooperation between the UK and Hubei.

Wilson introduced the business environment and investment advantages of the UK during a meeting with the local enterprises.

There was also an online meeting between Swansea University Medical School and Wuhan Union Hospital, with medical professional fighting the pandemic from the UK and Wuhan interacting with Wilson, who hopes to strengthen medical cooperation between China and the UK.

She said she was delighted to pay an official visit to Wuhan and see how the joint efforts of the UK and the province have been enhanced.

"I hope the two sides can expand cooperation, especially in trade and investment but also in medical innovation," Wilson said.
