The launch ceremony of the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) "social work" publicity week was held in Yunyang village on March 19. A series of activities were organized to encourage more villagers to take part in social work.

The campaign is being hosted by the WHDZ civil affairs bureau and the Dongjing street office. At the ceremony, social workers set up display boards and handed out booklets to tell villagers what "social work" was about and what advantages it had.

One highlight of the launch ceremony was when hundreds of communist social workers helped impoverished kids to achieve their "little dreams", which were written on cards by hundreds of kids in advance, under the instruction of social workers. This act of good will enabled the children to feel love and care from society, even if they still have a long way to go.

In addition, villagers were able to obtain free medical services from local hospitals. Many agricultural companies also shared their farming experience with locals during the campaign.
