The Huanglingji Bridge, located in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ or Hannan) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, opened to traffic on June 23, and now connects the eastern and the western parts of Junshan area, according to local media reports.

In recent years, the WHDZ Management Committee and China Communications Construction Co have worked together to develop a smart eco-city public-private partnership (PPP) project, including bridges, roads, water supply and drainage, parks, dredging and remediation and other construction types, as part of the overall planning and construction of Junshan's infrastructure.

The 3,598-meter-long Tanjun Highway is the largest single project of the PPP project, and the 1,779-meter-long Huanglingji Bridge is an important part of the Tanjun Highway.

The total cost of Tanjun Highway is about 650 million yuan ($100.69 million).

In addition to connecting the eastern and western parts of Junshan area, the Tanjun Highway is also an important passage connecting Junshan and the Smart Eco City to Hannan district and Caidian district.
